POOL

    Collection 23.1

Our latest season is inspired by the “holiday home”, a play on left-behind, but not forgotten clothing from days gone by. The sentimental items that come out when there’s been a last-minute decision to get out of the city, the ones accompanied by recollections of fond memories. A father’s old shirt, a pair of high school running shorts, a sister's favourite cardigan, the local sports club’s trusty jumper.

This concept is the foundation of the SS23 collection and has informed the elevated garments, which have been reworked into summer singlets, multipurpose swim and active shorts, and classic hand crochet guernseys. Fabrics were selected to create a genuine, lived-in feel, that also cleverly functions with thoughtful intention. Water-resistant linen coats, wide-leg denim pants made in Japanese denim, swim shorts in Italian engineered stretch fabric, and shirts with invisible zips to create layers and lightness.

POOL's AW22 collection continues the brand's premise of creating perspectives on swim and leisure. Garments have been reframed to incorporate the usefulness of swimwear as well as the comfort of resort wear. A loose-fitting shirt with an openable back yoke for ventilation that also serves as a statement silhouette when opened. Alternatively, denim topstitching on delicate silk adds rigidity to a fluid-looking fabric. The POOL design philosophy is based on the interaction of ideas.
